“Inspired Excellence” temporary exhibit opens
July 03, 2010 - January 03, 2011
This special exhibition explores the life and world-changing scientific discoveries of two remarkable women: Marie Curie-Sklodowska and Lise Meitner. The exhibition, which opened on July 3, will deepen a visitor’s knowledge of the trials and tribulations that faced both and to showcase the spirit and contributions of each. These women endured incredible challenges during the Victorian era when women were not welcome in the field of scientific discovery. Despite a lack of financial support, unsophisticated academic facilities, and little recognition of their endeavors, they persevered and triumphed.
Admission to the exhibit is included in admission to the Museum. The exhibit will be on display until the end of the year.
