Pioneers of the Atom

Visitors will step back in time to meet the individuals who influenced the nuclear world.  Museum visitors often enjoy reading about the people behind the work and these individuals will be a fascinating and motivating group. This exhibit will concentrate on the discoverers that unlocked the puzzle of the atomic structure. Pioneers in nuclear physics, medicine, and quantum mechanics will be included.  Leading the exhibit will be Albert Einstein and Madame Marie Curie, but will also include Enrico Fermi, Ernest Rutherford, Max Planck, Niels Bohr and Wilhelm Roentgen. A timeline of discoveries, paired with their discoverers, will lead the visitor through the exhibit.
