Einstein Society Gala

The Einstein Society Gala is the largest fundraising event for the Museum; without it, the Museum would not be able to provide the educational programs it conducts for thousands of students each year.

Admiral Kirkland Donald has been named the recipient of the 2013 National Award of Nuclear Science and History, which is presented annually by National Atomic Museum Foundation to a prominent person that has had an impact on nuclear issues. The award will be presented at the 16th annual Einstein Society Gala on March 16, 2013. To learn more about Admiral Donald and past award recipients, see our latest news here.

The Einstein Society Gala evening includes dinner and dancing as well as a silent auction. Fiat of Albuquerque has partnered with the Museum to provide a featured item in the silent auction: a 2013 Fiat 500, now on display at the Museum.

The evening will include a special performance by AnnaMaria Cardinalli, a multi-talented opera singer who also happens to hold a Ph.D. in theology from Notre Dame and has served in Afghanistan for the Joint Military Command. Dinner music will be provided by A Perfect Night DJ.

"Sunday Morning at the Museum" is part of the annual gala weekend. Those who attend the Saturday night gala are also invited to breakfast on Sunday morning, where they can meet the award recipient and take a special Director's Tour of the Museum. Blue Plate Special has made a donation of their catering for the event.
