Membership Campaign 2013

Membership Campaign 2013

The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History is conducting a year-long membership campaign entitled “Membership Matters” for 2013. The Museum’s goal is to increase its number of members by 25 percent, from 1,800 to 2,250.

A number of prizes will be obtainable for those who become new members in 2013. There will also be incentives for current members to renew and upgrade their current membership throughout the year. Those include:

• A copy of the book “America’s Lost H-Bomb,” by Randall C. Maydew, a Museum water bottle (while supplies last) and a 15% discount in the Museum Store for all new members
• An additional two months of free membership for current Museum members who recruit a new member
• An additional two months of free membership and a 15% store discount for current Museum members who upgrade their membership

Memberships begin at $15 for Neutron members (for kids under 13) and go up to corporate levels of $3,000 and $5,000. Memberships may be purchased online here.

“We’re enormously proud of the benefits our Members receive and enjoy,” says Jim Walther, Director of the Museum. “Our members tell us how much they appreciate the discounts on our programs and in our store, and free admission to other science centers around the country.”

The Museum offers numerous benefits to members; in addition to free admission, there are also discounts on fees for educational programs, discounts on purchases in the museum store, and invitations to members-only exhibition openings and other events throughout the year. Many members particularly enjoy being able to show their Museum membership card to receive free admission at science centers across the country as part of the Association of Science and Technology Center’s “Passport” program.
