Attention students interested in STEM!

Join the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History as a Junior Docent.

The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History proudly offers our Junior Docent Program to interested 8th through 12th-grade students (ages 13-17) in the 2025-2026 school year. Junior Docents are an important part of the Museum's Education Team.

Qualifications
What does it take to become a Junior Docent? You need a keen curiosity about the world, a passion for STEM topics, and a strong desire to expand your knowledge.

Junior Docents must:

  • Be 13 - 17 years old entering 8th - 12th grades in fall, 2025
  • Commit to working three (3) hours (minimum) a month throughout the program: beginning Saturday, September 6, 2025, through April 2026, as well as a mandatory monthly meeting/training with a Museum Educator on the first Saturday of every month.
  • MUST COMMIT to participate in the annual Einstein Gala, the museum's largest fundraising event, on Saturday, March 21, 2026.
  • Complete a Junior Docent Program application
