Fall Break Camp - October 7 & 8

Thursday (10/7) and Friday (10/8)

The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History is pleased to offer single-day themed camps for the Fall Break, Election Day, Veterans Day, Winter Break, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Presidents Day, and Spring Break school holidays. Fall Break Day camp is geared to campers in grades K-6th, and for a maximum of 15 campers.

Our education team has divided camp topics into single day camps that are multi-age collaborative camper experiences from 8:30 am- 3:30 pm, with FREE before- and after-care starting at 7:30 am and ending at 5:30 pm. Each in person camp will maintain CDC and state safety protocols (where applicable). All campers and staff must wear face masks unless otherwise noted prior to camp. Enrollment is limited to 15 children per day for Fall Break day camps for grades Kindergarten through 6th grade.

October 7

I Ain’t Afraid of No Ghosts! (grades K-6) Join us as we make ghost guts, build candy corn catapults, create density potions, dazzle with electric chemical reactions, extract pumpkin DNA, investigate owl pellets, and more!

October 8

Sweet Tooth Science (Grades K-6) This tasty camp will have campers experimenting with all things sweet as we make and take-home chocolate slime, explore density, watch Lifesavers flash in the dark, sink marshmallows, and more!

Fall Break Day camp runs from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. Please drop off your camper no earlier than 7:30 am and pick up on or before 5:30 pm. Late fees apply for campers who have not been picked up by that time. Children should bring two snacks, a lunch, and a refillable water bottle each day of Fall Break Day Camp.

Single-day camps are $70.00 per session. Members receive a $5.00 discount on camp enrollment costs. For more information, please email our Director of Education, Lisa Guida, at lguida@nuclearmuseum.org.
