Why the Museum is installing this playground equipment:
As part of the commitment to education of youth, the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History wished to provide a safe, structured physical activity space for the hundreds of summer campers and students that visit annually. Having a place for outdoor fun on our grounds will alleviate the need to cross the exceptionally busy Eubank Blvd., with the thousands of cars going to and from the base, to have our students use equipment at the city park.
Playgrounds improve and promote the wellness of children. They lay the groundwork for physical and mental development of children that enhance fine motor skills and cognitive abilities that assist them throughout life.
The museum seeks a benefactor or benefactors who would be excited to help us fund this new feature, as well as possible shade structures, benches, and more.
Please see below for sponsorship opportunities. The museum's sponsorship goal for this playground is $40,000.
