The Nuclear Museum is Open to the Public

The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History is open to the public. For more information, please click here. As of Friday, August 20th, masks are required to be worn inside the museum, regardless of vaccination status, as per NM public health order.



MEMBER EVENT - Members' Spooky Science - October 30

Members' Spooky Science is a family event held on the Saturday before Halloween, October 30th, from 11 am to 1 pm at the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History. All museum members are welcome to RSVP to save their spot for this exclusive event where space is limited! RSVPs must be made to our Membership Associate, Jennifer Thompson, at or 505-245-2137, extension 113. This even is FREE for museum members!

The museum's Education Department will provide exciting hands-on activities such as Boo Bubbles, Alginate Worms, Spooky Mask Making, Creepy Slime, and we will even have a face painter! Halloween costumes are welcome! Special demonstrations will take place at 11:30 for Spooky Fog and 12:30 pm for a Hair Raising demo! Kona Ice Truck will be available at the museum from 11 am to 1 pm.
