Einstein Express

The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History’s Einstein Express Program offers field trip busing assistance to Title 1 public schools in Albuquerque and the surrounding area. The program provides up to two buses (at the same time) per school per year for transportation to and from the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History.

Nuclear Science Week

Nuclear Science Week (NSW) is a national, broadly observed week-long celebration to focus local, regional, national and international interest in all aspects of nuclear science. Nuclear Science Week 2022 will take place the third week of October 17-21, 2022. More information on NSW 2022 will be shared here by August of 2022.

Discover STEAM Week

Discover STEAM Week is an annual celebration of all things STEAM – science, technology, engineering, art, and math. During this wonderful event, February 14th-18th 2022, the museum hosts students in grades 1-8 for hands-on activities related to STEAM through fun and engaging field trips and activities at the museum. Field trips during this time include free busing and admission for accepted groups thanks to the generous support of our donors.

Field Trips & Outreach

The Museum offers hands-on programs and activities that can be customized to grade level and curriculum. All programs align with the New Mexico Education Standards and the Next Generation Science Standards and are dedicated to the topics of energy, forces, nuclear radiation and the history of nuclear science. Programs at the Museum may be enhanced with self-guided or docent-guided tours.
