Nuclear Science Week - Funding For Buses

Nuclear Science Week is an observance of all things nuclear. Nuclear Science Week 2023 will be celebrated from October 16-20 across the globe!

The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History will welcome students in grades 6-12 to participate in nuclear, radiation, and energy-related activities. These activities will be led by museum educators and volunteers, many of whom have had careers in the field of nuclear science and engineering. Activity lessons meet state and national standards related to nuclear energy, atomic structure, and the politics and history of nuclear weapons.

The museum's team, along with community volunteers, will host a local Nuclear Science Week celebration that ties into the international Nuclear Science Week. It will be a week of programming that is free for local area schools, allowing students to see how Nuclear Science can be a part of their lives and offering educators a way to seamlessly integrate Nuclear Science activities into the classroom.

Field trips during this time include free busing and admission for accepted groups thanks to the generous support of our donors. To inquire about these opportunities, please contact Linda Anderson, Education Enrichment Coordinator, landerson@nuclearmuseum.org
