2024 Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Festival

Cultural performances and music, bright Japanese floral arrangements, intricate Chinese art activities, and much more will fill the day from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 4, 2024, at the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History. The Sandia National Laboratories Asian Leadership Outreach Committee and museum partner to host the 27th Annual Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Day, celebrating the cultural traditions, ancestry, native languages, and unique experiences represented among ethnic groups from Asia and the Pacific.

Movie Under the Wings Jurassic Park

The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History will host Movie Under the Wings, a unique outdoor movie event where visitors will view the iconic movie, Jurassic Park, among such historic aircraft as the B-29 Superfortress, an F-16 Fighting Falcon, and many more. Movie Under the Wings will take place in the museum’s outdoor exhibit area, Heritage Park, on Saturday, June 15. Doors will open at 7:30 pm and the movie will begin at dark.
