2024 Summer Break Camps

Come have fun and learn with us this summer! Students K-6 can register to experience exciting science and fun STEAM activities at the museum. Our education team has divided camp topics into single-day camps with multi-age collaborative camper experiences from 8:30 am- 3:30 pm, with FREE before-and-aftercare starting at 7:30 am and ending at 5:30 pm.

Opens June 22
Mission Aerospace

The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History is excited to announce a new temporary exhibit, Mission Aerospace. This interactive exhibit is a multi-layered exploration of aviation history, aerospace milestones, and some of NASA’s trail-blazing discoveries shaping our world daily. The exhibit opens June 22 and will close on October 6, 2024. It is included in the Museum's general admission.

Waste Isolation Pilot Project-WIPP Exhibit

We recommend admissions be purchased within the same week they are to be used, but you will not be turned away if your visit takes place after the one-week timeframe.

Visitation policies at the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History are designed to protect visitors and staff and secure and preserve the collections and facilities entrusted in our care. Violation of these guidelines could result in removal from the Museum.

Firearm Policy The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History is located on federal property. The Museum restricts visitors from carrying firearms and weapons while on Museum property. Weapons include, but are not limited to, guns, knives, or swords, explosives, and any chemical whose purpose is to cause harm to another person.
